This decision is based on our finding that:
The hearing was held virtually via the Zoom platform on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
William&Rita Forster, Appellants, were present at the hearing. IdaMae Jensen, Assessor's Representative,
was present. Brittany King, Assessor's Office was also present.
The Assessor requested the Board of Equalization set the value of the subject parcel at $836,455 using the
median value based on the sales grid. The Appellants agreed that is a correct market value for the subject
property.
The Board found a preponderance of the evidence to overrule the original value and support the new value
requested by the Assessor and agreed to by the Appellants.
Therefore, the Board sets the value for the land at $123,390 and improvements at $713,065 for a total of
$836,455 for the subject parcel.

The hearing was held virtually via the Zoom platform on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
William&Rita Forster, Appellants, were present at the hearing. IdaMae Jensen, Assessor's Representative,
was present. Brittany King, Assessor's Office was also present.
The Appellant stated that the cabin on the subject property was unfinished and it is used for storage. He
does not intend to further improve the cabin.
The Appellants provided five photographs of the interior of the cabin. In the pictures, the Board noted there
were floor coverings and plumbing fixtures that were available but not installed.
The Assessor stated the property was depreciated due to the low/fair condition and suggested the Board set
the building improvement value at $84,370. The Appellants did not contest the land value at $134,435.
The Board found a preponderance of the evidence to overrule the original value.
Therefore, the Board sets the value for the land at $134,435 and improvements at $84,370 for a total of
$218,805 for the subject parcel.
