Meeting Minutes
January 21, 2021
The regular meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. virtually via the Zoom platform
by Chairperson Ickes.
Attendance: Susan Ickes, Chair; William Kendrick, Vice-Chair; Mark Nault, Commissioner
Others: Tami Beyer, Sheryl Hilt, and Becky Rogers
Business:
1. Selection of 2021 Chair & Vice-Chair
Sue Ickes volunteered to continue as Chair.
Commission Members Kendrick/Nault moved and seconded to elect Sue Ickes as Chair for 2021.
Motion carried unanimously.
Commission Member Nault nominated Bill Kendrick for Vice-Chair.
Commission Members Nault/Kendrick moved and seconded to elect Bill Kendrick as Vice-Chair for 2021.
Motion carried unanimously.
2. 2021 Meeting Schedule
The meeting schedule was reviewed. Meetings will continue via the Zoom platform
until further notice, due to the pandemic.
Cmmr. Kendrick/Nault moved and seconded to approve the 2021 meeting schedule. Motion carried
unanimously.
3. Approval of Minutes: December 17, 2020 regular meeting minutes.
Cmmr. Nault/Kendrick moved and seconded to approve the regular meeting minutes dated December
17, 2020. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Chief Examiner Update
4.1. Position Tracking - 5 vacant funded and unfunded FTE positions -- Corrections
Deputy - 2 funded/1 unfunded; Records Specialist - 1; and Finance Assistant

4.2. Financial Assistant - Establishment of Eligibility List - The applicants are
proceeding to the written (skills) test next week. The test will be followed by
the oral board interviews. Once the oral board interviews are complete, the
eligibility list will be established.
5. Sheriff's Office Update
5.1. Chief Beyer stated there is no information to report from the other divisions.
She mentioned the recent MCSO News Release of one of the deputies that has
been arrested. This matter is going through its due process and the MCSO is
in full support of the investigation.

6. Financial Assistant - Sheryl Hilt commented they are ready to proceed with
interviews once the eligibility list is established.
7. Adjourn - The meeting adjourned at 5:07 p.m.
