A 10 lb sledge hammer was used to check the integrity of the four I-beam sides as well as the four 6"diameter steel support columns. Typically, if there were any defects in the structure, one would be able to hear a distinct change in the sound after striking it with a sledge hammer. This did not occur. It is the conclusion of this engineer that the steel I-beam cradle structure and posts are sound and usable even though evidence of scaling was observed. Also, a pair of 5/8" diameter All- thread bolts were in the process of being epoxyed into place at the base of the cradle at the SW corner since it had worked its way loose over time. The remaining steel post pads were still in good condition. Digital color photographs of the required depth and height were taken at the site for documentation purposes.
