ERICKSON -McGOVERN c October 19, 2018 Mr.Joshua Luck Building Inspector IV Mason County Community Development 615 W Alder Street Shelton,WA 98584 Re: Tenant Improvements at the North Mason Theler Center Building. Reference Building Permit##COM2017-00058 Mr. Luck, Per our recent discussion, there were two items that needed to be address before the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy. By way of an e-mail to you,the testing and balancing mechanical system was performed and a report provided. The other item had to do with special inspection. The initial bid results were significantly over the North Mason School District available funds. Significant reductions in scope were implemented so the bare minimal could be addressed in order for the district to use the facility. All the requirements for special inspection were removed as a result of the reductions in project scope. As Architect of Record, I performed construction administration and performed multiple site visits. To the best of my knowledge, the tenant Improvements were performed in conformance to applicable codes and the reduced scope. 925 REGISTERED VA.4 ARCHITECT RECEIVED YMOND ATE OF WASHINGTON OCT 19 Please review and let me know if you have any questions. 63 51IV.Alder Strpo+ Sincerely, Raymond Mow,AIA Principal Erickson McGovern Architects 101 E 26m Street Suite 300-Tacoma WA,98421 0 P 253.531.0206 www.ericksonmcgovern.com MASON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ' COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 426 West Cedar Street ♦ PO Box 279 ♦ Shelton, WA 98584 `QE ec Inspection D (360)427-9670 EXT. 352 FAX (360) 427-7798 HOME PAGE— a. s Special Ition Authorization MAY 12 2017 p p 615 W. In these reports, special inspectors should: • Describe inspections and tests made with applicable locations; • List all nonconforming items; • Indicate how nonconforming items were resolved; • List unresolved items, parties notified, and time and method of notification; and • Itemize changes authorized by the architect/engineer of record and approved by the building department, if not included in the nonconformance items. Items of note are listed in the "Field Note Report" and in the "Note" section under each piece of equipment throughout the report. Unable to test all equipment under design day conditions due to ambient conditions at time of balance. Indoor Units (IU): The IUs were read using a flow hood. Fan speeds were set using the manufacturer provided speed controller. Final balanced fan speeds were marked and noted in the report. Proportioning was done using the provided manual volume dampers, and the final balanced positions were marked. The Outside Air was read by pitot tube traverse and set using the provided Honeywell Jade Economizer controllers. Outside Air damper positions were saved to the controllers and noted in the report. Exhaust Fans (EF): The exhaust fans were read using a flow hood. Fan speeds were set using the manufacturer provided speed potentiometer. Final balanced fan speeds were marked and noted in the report. Proportioning was done using the provided manual volume dampers, and the final balanced positions were marked. Note: Not all exhaust fans were completely installed at the time of balancing, these are noted in the report. Page 9 of 21 AIRTESTInc. _.
