HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/20/2015 Mason County Civil Service Commission Building 1 — Commission Chambers 411 N. 5th Street, Shelton, WA 98584 August 20, 2015 5:00 p.m. Call Meeting to Order: 5:03 PM Roll Call: Commissioners Danielle Skeeters-Lindsey, Chair, Brian Kelly, Dean Byrd, Chief Examiner Dawn Twiddy, Sheriff Salisbury, Chief Administrative Deputy Theresia Ehrich Business: A. Approval of Minutes: Commissioners Kelly/Byrd moved and seconded approval of the July 23,2015 special meeting minutes. Motion carried. Kelly-aye; Byrd-aye; S-no vote There was a discussion about the Robert Rules of Order and whether the Chair should vote or not. B. Chief Examiner Update—Chief Examiner Twiddy discussed the open positions and testing that are in process. Chief Examiner Twiddy shared with the Board that the Civil Service conference was coming up and if any of them would like to attend she would register them and make the lodging reservations. Chief Byrd said he was unable to attend and both Commissioners Skeeters- Lindsey and Kelly would like to attend. C. Sheriff's Office Update a. Chief Administrative Deputy Theresia Ehrich inquired about the open Community Service Officer positions. Chief Examiner Twiddy stated that she would need to look at the number of vacancies for Community Service Officer that were open. b. The Commissioners expressed their deepest sympathy to the Sheriff and his staff for the loss of one of their Corrections Deputy's. The Sheriff thanked them and expressed his concern about intersection where the wreck occurred.
