Meeting Minutes
May 16 , 2019
The regular meeting was called to order at 5 : 02 p . m. , in the Mason County Building 1 , Commission
Chambers, at 411 N . 5ch Street, Shelton, WA by Vice-Chairperson Davis .
Attendance : Matthew Davis , Vice-Chair and Susan Ickes, Commissioner
Others : Sheryl Hilt, Finance Manager; Chief Tami Beyer and Becky Rogers, Chief Examiner
Business :
1 . Approval of Minutes : April 18 , 2019 regular meeting minutes .
Cmmrs. IckesA)avis moved and seconded to approve the meeting minutes dated April18, 2019. Motion
carried unanimously.
2 . Chief Examiner Update
2 . 1 . Position Tracking — There are 6 vacant and funded FTE positions (3 Deputy Sheriff, 1 Corrections
Deputy, 1 Clerk and 1 Records Specialist)
2 . 2 . Corrections Lieutenant Promotional Testing — June 11 -Work Performance Rating (WPR) and June 12
— Command Skills & Abilities (CSA) Promotional Test — The Chief Examiner informed the Board of
the upcoming WPR and CSA to be conducted for the Corrections Lieutenant promotional testing.
2 . 3 . Records Specialist Position - Job Posting 19-32--A job posting was circulated for the Records
Specialist position with the beginning date on May 6, 2019 and the closing date on May 28 , 2019 .
( - 2040 Civil Service Commission Vacant Position — The Mason County Commissioners will be interviewing
the applicants for the vacant position on Monday, May 20 , 2019 .
3 . Sheriff' s Office Update
3 . 1 . Clerk Position -- Chief Beyer reported that they have an additional name on the eligibility list and they
will be interviewing and then forward on to backgrounding to see if they pass .
4 . The meeting adjourned at 5 : 07 p . m. due to no further business .
