HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/20/2017 Mason County Civil Service Commission Buildingi— Commission Chambers 411 N. 5th Street, Shelton, WA 98S84 April 20, 2017 5:00 p.m. Call Meeting to Order S:os PM Roll Call: Commissioners Brian Kelly, Chair, Danielle Skeeters-Lindsey, Chief Examiner Meghan Andrews, Tami Beyer, Chief Jan Shepherd, Chief Russ Osterhout, Chief Ryan Spurling and Teri Jeffreys.Absent: B. Dean Byrd, Vice Chair. Business: County Commissioner Jeffreys awarded the Civil Service Commissioners with certificates for volunteer appreciation month. A. Danielle Skeeters-Lindsey moved to approve the meeting minutes from February 16, 2017 and March 16, 2017 and Brian Kelly seconded. Motion carried with all in favor. B. Chief Examiner Update a. Brief discussion on the update of vacant positions. b. Chief Examiner went over the current status of the Evidence Technician reclassification and suggested a typing or Excel style test for this position. c. Brief discussion about preparing for the Corporal testing announcement and process and that the price quotes are being sent out. C. Sheriff's Office Update a. Chief Jan Shepherd stated they will have another Records Specialist position open on May 1, 2017 due to her retirement and Tami Beyer being promoted her the Chief Civil Deputy position. b. Chief Jan also updated the Commissioners that the extra-help position was all finalized and discussed with Tim Whitehead. D.
