HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/16/2017 Mason County Civil Service Commission Building 1- Commission Chambers 41-1 N. 5th Street, Shelton, WA 98584 March 16, 2017 5:00 p.m. Call Meeting to Order: 5:02 PM Roll Call: Commissioners Dean Byrd, Chair, Brian Kelly,Vice Chair, Danielle Skeeters Lindsey, Chief Examiner Meghan Andrews, Chief Hanson, and Tami Beyer. Business: A. There were no meeting minutes to approve at this meeting. B. Chief Examiner Update a. Chief Examiner went over current vacant positions. b. Commissioner Skeeters Lindsey moved to approve the the updated Corrections Lieutenant job description with changes. Commissioner Byrd seconded. Motion carried with all in favor. c. Chief examiner notified the Board of the status of the HR analysis for the Evidence Technician reclassification. C. Sheriff's Office Update a. Tammy Beyer brought forward that a current extra help Clerk's 4 month term will expire in April and that Chief Shepherd has requested her term be extended for an additional 4 months until the full time employee returns from leave. Commissioner Byrd moved to approve the four month extension and when the full time employee returns from leave that the extra help position is termed. Vice Chair Skeeters Lindsey seconded. Motion carried with all in favor. b. Chief Hanson gave an update on the status at the jail. Female inmates have been returned to the Mason Countyjail and are no longer housed in Nisqually and the alternative sentencing program in in effect and the litter crews are out in the community cleaning up litter and doing grounds keeping work.
