Call Meeting to Order: Chair Danielle Skeeters Lindsey called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.

Business:
A. Approval of inutes® Commissioner Davis/Skeeters moved and seconded approval of
the January 15,2015 regular meeting minutes.Motion carried with all in favor.
B. Chief Examiner Update
a. Dawn T iddy discussed the Record Specialist testing process. T V ri,

will require at least a 70%to advance to the oral testing. The oral testing will
be scored by averaging the scores of the panel. The written score and the oral
score will be combined and given a 50% weighted average to give the
candidate their final score to be placed on the eligibility list. The combined
score must be 70% or more to qualify. The Commissioners both agreed on the
testing and scoring matrix.
There are 31 applicants. One applicant will be removed based on the standards
of employment and a letter will be sent.
b. Dawn Twiddy updated the Commissioners on the open positions. Currently
there is 1 Records Specialist, 1.5 Community Service Officer and 5 (4 female)
Corrections Officer positions open. There was a discussion about the female
corrections officer positions open and asking PST to return to Shelton to test
again. It was also brought up to look at the cost f6r each applicant to test and
if it would be feasible to pay that fee for females interested in testing.
C. Sheriffs Office Update
a. Chief Jan Shepherd was unable to attend the meeting. Dawn Twiddy, on Chief
Shepherd's behalf, discussed the need to continue the extra help position in
the Sheriff's office, currently held by Sheryl Drake, to assist with the
transition of a permanent new hire. Dawn also discussed the need for an
additional extra help clerk to assist Bill Adam with his work load.
Commissioners Davis/Skeeters approved the two extra help positions for
a 4 month term.
b. Dawn Twiddy discussed the need to proceed with CSO testing after the
Records Specialist position has been completed.
