Call to Order—The Chairperson called the regular meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. 2. Pledge of Allegiance—Conely Watson led the flag salute. 3. Roll Call — Present: Commissioner District 1 - Randy Neatherlin; Commissioner District 2— Kevin Shutty; Commissioner District 3 —Terri Drexler. 4. Correspondence and Organizational Business Cmmr. Shutty asked Jerry Hauth to speak regarding the Emergency Command Center which will be established at the Public Works Department while attending to the local fires. 4.1 Correspondence 4.1.1 John Worthington sent in a tort claim for the use of WestNet. 4.1.2 Attorney General of Washington sent in notice of complaint for Lake Limerick Homeowners Association (HOA). 4.1.3 State of Washington Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation (DAHP) sent in notice that Ebenezer Congregational Church 18500 SR 3, Allyn has been relisted in the Washington Heritage Register. 4.1.4 Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board sent a liquor license application for Assumption 23800 Northeast State Route 3, Belfair. 4.1.5 Patrick Byrne and Gordon & Lesley Nelson sent in letters regarding Notice of Application for the Scott Pit proposal. 4.1.6 Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board sent a marijuana license application for Evergreen Growpro 50 West Westfield Court Unit C, Shelton. 4.1.7 Kenneth Boston sent in a letter regarding Lake Kokanee. 5. Open Forum for Citizen Input— 5.1 Conely Watson handed out an amendment for the Women's Right to vote. 5.2 Mike Morrison spoke about the safety issues discussed in the letter received from Kenneth Boston at Lake Kokanee. 5.3 Penny Davis from Lake Kokanee asked if an official sign could be posted from the County noting that the lake is restricted so the"old timers"or those without internet know the correct rules. She also asked a letter come from the Board to Lake Cushman. 6. Adoption of Agenda - Cmmr. Drexler/Shutty moved and seconded to adopt the agenda as published. Motion carried unanimously. N-aye; S-aye; D-aye. 7. Approval of Minutes— None. 8. Approval of Action Agenda: 8.1 Approval to appoint Janice Loomis to the Mason County Board of Equalization to fill the remainder of a vacant three year term ending May 31, 2019. 8.2 Approval of the sub-recipient agreement with Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason and Thurston Counties and approval to have the Chair sign the sub-recipient agreement. 8.3 Approval of Warrants Claims Clearing Fund Warrant #s $ Direct Deposit Fund Warrant #s 51230-51607 $ 668,433.79 Salary Clearing Fund Warrant #s 7003741-7003778 $ 931,253.93 Total $ 1,599,687.72 8.4 Approval to award $37,500 from the Treatment Sales Tax fund and enter into contract with Consejo Counseling for an 18 month term with a start date of July 1, 2018. N-aye; S-aye; D-aye. 9. Other Business (Department Heads and Elected Officials) 9.1 Karen Herr announced that ballots are being sent out today and those not registered to vote can still register in person. She then announced that voters will not be paying for their postage due to recent Legislation. She welcomed emails and calls to the Auditor's office if anybody has questions. 10. 9:30 a.m. Public Hearings and Items set for a certain time— No hearings 11. Board's Reports and Calendar -The Commissioners reported on meetings attended the past week and announced their upcoming weekly meetings. 12.
