In all cases where the duties of any county office are greater than can be performed by the person elected to fill it, the officer may employ deputies and other necessary employees with the consent of the board of county commissioners.The board shall fix their compensation .... WHEREAS,the Board wishes to no longer have a separate salary plan for the Mason County Sheriff's commissioned and non-commissioned command staff that includes Jail Lieutenant, Chiefs and Undersheriff and will incorporate these non-represented positions into the Mason County Non- Represented Salary Scale Range Alignment. WHEREAS,the Board wishes to acknowledge the elimination of the Patrol Lieutenant. NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby rescind Resolution 05-14, eliminate the Patrol Lieutenant, and by separate resolution will incorporate the Mason County Sheriff commissioned and non-commissioned command staff including Jail Lieutenant, Chiefs and Undersheriff into the Non-Represented Salary Scale Range Alignment.
