SUBJECT Septic Drainfield Calculations Summary
The attached Septic Drainfield Calculations Summary identifies the basis of design for the septic drainfield for the
Union Washington Residences Site Improvements, prior to the Ops Building addition.
The drainfield was sized and permitted based on the bedroom count for the Union Washington Residences covered
under the applicable permit. Although there are additional lots/buildings with drainage waste uses, it was
determined that these uses effectively replaced uses that would occur in the lots/buildings with bedrooms.
Therefore, these uses were counted and permitted under the bedroom count flowrates.
For the septic field loading factors, soils at the septic field location were determined to be Type 2B with a loading
factor of 1 .0 (gal/sf/day).
