Small Parcel Stormwater Management Application/Worksheet (page 1 of 2)
Per Mason County Code, Title 14,Chapter 14.48 a stormwater site plan is required whenever a building application is
made for residential development,or redevelopment', with more than 2 000 square f z P P q feet of impervious surface .
'Redevelopment means,on an already developed site, the creation or addition of impervious surfaces, structural development
including construction, installation or expansion of a building or other structure,and/or replacement of impervious surface that is not
part of a routine maintenance activity, and land disturbing activities associated with structural or impervious redevelopment.
ZCommon impervious surfaces include, but are not limited to,rooftops, walkways, patios, driveways, parking lots or storage areas,
concrete or asphalt paving, gravel roads, packed earthen materials, and oiled, macadam or other surfaces which similarly impede the
natural infiltration of stormwater.Open, uncovered retention/detention facilities shall not be considered as impervious surfaces.
To Calculate Impervious Surfaces Please Complete This Table

Regulated activities shall be conducted only after Mason County Public Works approves a stormwater site plan
(Mason County Code Title 14 Chapter 14.48 section 14.48.70).You will receive a copy of the Public Works document
entitled "Managing Storm Drainage on Small Lots,The Small Parcel Stormwater Site Plan".This document will assist
you in preparing the necessary information and plans for Public Works to review and approve. Per Department of
Public Works this document will constitute an approved plan if all of the relevant details*are to be installed in
their entirety AND no part of the stormwater system adversely affects any septic system(see Environmental Health
information below). If an alternative system is to be used a plan will need to be submitted to Public Works for approval.
A design by a registered professional may be required for more complex sites.
*These details are found in the document Managing Storm Drainage on Small Lots, The Small Parcel Stormwater Site Plan
on the pages that begin with"Handout"
PLEASE INITIAL BELOW TO INDICATE THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THIS SITE
A)Cl) The relevant details from Managing Storm Drainage on Small Lots, The Small Parcel Stormwater Site Plan will be installed
in their entirety AND the system will be located as not to adversely affect any septic systems on this,or any other, parcel.
B) An alternative plan and/or professional design will be submitted to the Department of Public Works for approval AND the
system will be located as not to adversely affect any septic systems on this,or any other, parcel.
If you have further questions pertaining to parcel drainage and stormwater management Mason County's Public Works
Department can provide additional instructions, guidance and examples.(Section 14.48.130)contact Public works at:
Phone:(360)-427-9670 EXT.450
Mail:P 0 Box 1850, Shelton WA 98584
Physical:415 N 6th St,Shelton WA 98584
If this development has,or will have,a septic/drainfield system you may need to contact Mason County Division of
Environmental Health to ensure that the stormwater system will not adversely affect the septic system of this,or
any other, parcel. You may also wish to consult with the septic design professional involved with the project. Mason
County Division of Environmental Health can be reached at:
Phone:(360)-427-9670 EXT.352
Mail:P 0 Box 1666, Shelton WA 98584

A condition will be added to the building permit that states,in part, that all conditions the stormwater site plan will be met
prior to a request for final inspection of the building permit.
Owner/Builder/Agent Acknowledges that submission of inaccurate information may result in a stop work order or permit revocation.
Acknowledgement of such is by signature below.I declare that I am the owner, owner's legal representative,or the contractor.I

SMALL PARCEL STORMWATER SITE PLAN
WRITTEN DESICRIPTION
CHRIS &JACLYN WOODELL
PARCEL# 22302-75-90113
The site is located north west of Belfair on a 2.63-acre lot. The lot has light brush and is lightly
covered with trees. There are no wetlands, and the property is mostly level with a —3%or less slope on
the back of the properties last 100 ft. which is not located in an area of concern for the proposed
construction site. The driveway to the structure site is 196ft from the private access road (Trudeau Mtn
Rd) 10 feet wide by 196 feet long (2330sq ft.) of impervious surface with a parking area of 30ft wide by
78ft (2340sq ft.) of impervious surface and a home structure of 64ft wide by 44ft long (2816sq ft.) of
impervious surface. Totaling 7486sq ft. of impervious surface, which fall within the limits for Small
Parcel Drainage Review.
All storm water flows will be dispersed from the downspouts to a natural vegetation area no less
than 50'x50' located south east of the house structure, to avoid saturating soils near the foundation of
the house. An onsite septic system is purposed, the downspouts water disbursement will be located no
less than 50 ft. away from the septic tank and no less than 150ft. away from the purposed drain field
within an area of vegetation and trees.
In order to prevent erosion and trap sediments within the project site, the following Best
Management Practices (BMPs) will be used approximately as shown on the Erosion and Sediment
Control (ESC) plan:
• Dirt stored for the backfill of the foundation will be covered with black PVC plastic
• Clearing limits will be marked by orange ribbon and will be placed around the center vegetation
of the circular driveway and adjacent vegetation near the structure site
• The driveway and parking area will have gravel laid down prior to the beginning of construction
phase
• Mulch consisting of air dried straw will be placed on the north side of the driveway to prevent
erosion of dirt banking during construction

Simple Heating System Size: Washington State
This heating system sizing calculator is based on the Prescriptive Requirements of the 2015 Washington State Energy Code(WSEC)and ACCA
" Manuals J and S.This calculator will calculate heating loads only.ACCA procedures for sizing cooling systems should be used to determine cooling
loads.
The glazing(window)and door portion of this calculator assumes the installed glazing and door products have an area weighted average U-factor of
0.30. The incorporated insulation requirements are the minimum prescriptive amounts specified by the 2015 WSEC.

less than the label or design thickness of the insulation, the compressed R-value of the insulation from
Appendix Table A101.4 shall not be less than the R-value specified in the table.
b The fenestration U-factor column excludes skylights. The SHGC column applies to all glazed fenestration.
` "10/15/21.+TB" means R-10 continuous insulation on the exterior of the wall, or R-15 on the continuous
insulation on the interior of the wall, or R-21 cavity insulation plus a thermal break between the slab and the
basement wall at the interior of the basement wall. "10/15/21.+TB" shall be permitted to be met with R-13
cavity insulation on the interior of the basement wall plus R-5 continuous insulation on the interior or exterior
of the wall. "10/13" means R-10 continuous insulation on the interior or exterior of the home or R-13 cavity
insulation at the interior of the basement wall. "TB" means thermal break between floor slab and basement
wall.
d R-10 continuous insulation is required under heated slab on grade floors. See R402.2.9.1.
e There are no SHGC requirements in the Marine Zone.
f Reserved.
g Reserved.
h Reserved.
The second R-value applies when more than half the insulation is on the interior of the mass wall.
Reserved.
k For single rafter-or joist-vaulted ceilings,the insulation may be reduced to R-38.
Reserved.
m Int. (intermediate framing) denotes standard framing 16 inches on center with headers insulated with a
minimum of R-10 insulation.
Table R402.1.3 Footnote
a Nonfenestration U-factors shall be obtained from measurement, calculation or an approved source or as
specified in Section R402.1.3.
