The documents attached include photos taken when the addition was posted in 2008. In addition an
estimated fee worksheet and notes from enforcement case activity are attached.
To apply for a permit our office will require construction plans demonstrating compliance to current codes
including 2012 energy code. Based upon photos taken an engineered design shall be required for the
vertical, lateral and foundation systems. If you choose to remove the non-permitted addition contact our
office to request a compliance inspection. When a building permit is issued and after all required
inspections are performed or after the compliance inspection to verify removal is completed an
addendum to non-conforming development will be completed and delivered to the owner to record.
In addition to building code compliance the Mason County planning department and public health
department will require compliance which will include compliance to land use regulations and verification
that existing on-site sewage facilities are adequate. I strongly recommend that you contact the following

Department fee is a flat fee which is due when permit is submitted. Building permit fee, mechanical, and plumbing permit fees will be
