The filling of the 10 acre natural depression, or bowl, occurs gradually as needed and up to 200,000 cubic yards total. An infiltration pond within the bowl collects all site stormwater. Soils are free draining and there is no surface water outlet. Once a portion of the bowl (cell) has been filled it will be covered with topsoil and replanted with native shrubs and trees. SEPA proposal includes a Geotechnical Report, a Stormwater plan, and a Land Modification Permit Application. Site investigation confirned that site does not appear to be a wetland. The proposed fill site has no natural discharge except for ground water through infiltration. The property owner wants to remove non- merchantable timber due to root rot and then cover the site with fill material. The land will be replanted with ground cover and trees. About what percent of the site will be covered with impervious surfaces after project constructions(for example,asphalt or buildings? No impervious surfaces will be created. h. Straw bales,rock check dams,and silt control fences will all be used where needed. The intent is to allow storm water to infiltrate into the ground in the same manner as currently exists. 2. AIR: a. Eventually,the entire site will then be re with indigenous trees such as firs; cedars, spruce and alders as well as local vegetation. This revegetaton will help to protect the site from stormwater runoff and soil erasion due;to percolation of the surface water runoff back into the ground and leave the site in its naturally occurring state. Lilliwaup, WA 98555 RE: GRD99-00007 for Hama Hama Company Dear Mr. Robbins, As, discussed,your grading permit for parcel number 32427-00-04000 has expired because we have not received a stormwater compliance letter every 6 months, as required in condition#1,and because the reports and applications were specifically for the two slides that occurred during the winter of 1998/1999. In the previous letter, I stated that you may not need to apply for SEPA if the original range of activities has not changed. However, after reading the original SEPA, it is clear that it only referred to the debris generated from the two aforementioned slides. We realize that you have been sending in annual stormwater compliance letters and were never forewarned that you were not abiding by the permit parameters. In consideration of the misunderstanding, we have extended your grading permit until June 30th,2011 to allow plenty of time to obtain the necessary permits from the County. To apply to continue to receive landslide debris fill material,please submit the following: SEPA Checklist- $630 Geotechnical Report or Addendum with Checklist- $255 Land Modification Permit Application(contact the Permit Center for review fee) Stormwater Report (1992 Manual is acceptable for this site until June 2012) - $255 Please contact the Department of Ecology to determine any additional stormwater requirements/permits. A condition of the permit prepared by T Griffey requires that inspection reports be submitted whichever comes first, 6 months or 20000 cubic yards. They are accepting dirt/debris from landfills on the SR101 right of way. And Pam's notes/conditions indicate that it was just for an emergency permit. ?
