Shelton WA 98584 To whom it may concern, The Washington State Department of Transportation is asking for a temporary extension on our expired permit so we can continue to waste slide material from US 101 in Mason on the property of Dave Robbins. Located at MY 320 this site serves as a key waste location for hauling slide material off US 101 in northern Mason County. Our next closest site is the Sheldon pit located at MY 334. When slides close US 101 our goal is to reopen the road as soon as conditions safely allow. The Robbins location affords us a much shorter trucking time so we can get traffic moving sooner and use less fuel in our trucks for hauling material. We appreciate your consideration with this request and look forward to working with your planners to draft up a new permit.
