Dear Ms. Miller:
We have received a request for review of the above proposal and offer the following comment.
The Department has received a road approach permit application from the developer and
has no objections proposed ns to the ro osed access location. We will proceed with a commercial road
'
separate cover. Details of
approach permit under sep approach construction will be resolved to
the permit application process.
Surface water runoff directed to the state highway right-of-way must not exceed pre-
development runoff.
The Department will not be responsible for noise attenuation if the subject property
experiences noise levels in excess of the maximum allowed for the proposed land use.
Advertising signs visible from an adjacent state highway must comply with the State Scenic
Vistas Act of 1971,which is administered by the Department. For information regarding the
signing regulations, contact Jack Smith in the District 3 Traffic Operations office at 357-
2620.

commercial type "D" road approach to serve a proposed garage/body shop at the above
mentioned location.
We anticipate granting you a commercial road approach permit, however, we must first
review any proposed commercial development through the Mason County Planning
Department. The county, after receiving the plan for a proposed development such as
yours, will send us a copy of these plans to review such factors as access and drainage
concerns which may affect the state's transportation system. We then submit back to the
county our recommendations and requirements for the specific project.
When the development review for your proposal has been completed through the County,
we will then proceed with your request for a road approach permit. To help you expedite
this process, please include in your submittal to the County a site plan showing the
relationship of the road approach to the rest of your property and all easements to your
property.
The road approach permit must be in the name of the property owner where the approach
will be located. No work is authorized on the approach until a permit has been granted
and fully executed by both the Department and the property owner.
We will hold your application in abeyance until you have submitted your plans to the
County and the joint review has been accomplished.

I contacted Larry Anderson from the Department of Transportation
regarding John Ring' s access permit. The DOT mailed the permit to
Mr. Ring on Oct. 15, 1991 for signature and a $4000 . 00 bond. They
are awaiting these items from Mr. Ring.
