Based upon our knowledge of the project and language in the Mason County Shoreline Management Master Program, we believe this project is exempt from the Shoreline Substantial Development Permit requirement. We interpret this work to be exempt under WAC 173-27-040(2)(b) as normal maintenance or repair of existing structures or developments, including damage by accident, fire or elements.
