Vol 6, Page 192 Dear Mr Simmons: On March 21, 1994 I inspected Lots 160 & 164 referred to abov . You asked that I inspecte the cut slope and give a determinatioi as to its stability. I assume that the up-grade area (in Lot 160) will not be developed into a second single family resident. OBSERVATION: The materials exposed by the excavation are layers of glacial till, gravels, and overburden (duff). It is my opinion that the existing excavation has not jeopardized the integrity of the up-grade property. The angle and height of the slope exposed. by the excavation does not increase the up-gr de property's sensitivity to internal failure by overturning or slump ng. However, the angle of repose of the cut slope will be subject to minor raveling or erosion. You may wish to consider stabilizing the slope to eliminate the nuisance of raveling.
