Dear Mr. Scott:
At your request, Mason County Department of Community Development staff
have issued a flood plain determination for your property described
above, located at SE 11 Foxglove Ave, Shelton, WA. A copy of this
determination will remain in the property file for future reference.
At your request a copy is also being forwarded to your lending
institution, Sterling Savings, 111 N Wall St, Spokane, WA 99201 attn:
Geri Bohn.
Your proposed building site is located in Zone C, and as such, is
outside the flood hazard Zone A area of Fawn Lake as depicted and
mapped on Federal Flood Insurance Rate Maps. This determination was
made using the map referenced at the top of this communication, as well
as site verification in the field.
The following site observations are provided for your information:
Your property is not on the shoreline of Fawn Lake, which has a very
low fluctuation in its high water level during winter storms. The lake
is controlled by a weir at its most southeasterly point, from there
water flows into an outlet stream. During and after the most extreme
storm events of the 1996-97 winter, Fawn Lake's water level was
adequately controlled by this weir.

A copy of the applicable Flood Insurance Rate Map and the portion of
the plat map of Fawn Lake which shows the location of your lot are
enclosed for your reference.
