MITIGATION MEASURES
3. Floatation for the structure shall be entirely enclosed and contained to permanently
prevent the breakup or loss of the flotation material into the water.
4. The Mason County Department of Community Development discourages the use of such
materials treated with creosote and recommends the use of steel,plastic, concrete or less-
toxic alternative wood treatments.
5. Debris or deleterious material resulting from construction shall be removed from the
beach area and project site and shall not be allowed to enter waters of the state.
6. Water qual
ity ty is not be degraded to the detriment of the aquatic environment as a result
of this project.
7. This project also requires a Hydraulic Project Approval from the Washington Department
Fish and Wildlife. d

9. The surface of floating structures shall be a minimum of eight inches above the surface
of the water.
10. The dock must be maintained in safe and sound condition.
11. The lower deck shall not extend into the bankline vegetation shall any portion of the
deck be built over the water.
