Re: Your Commercial Lot next to the Allyn Tavern
Mr Neesham,
Your Septic Permit Review has been completed for the commercial lot
in Allyn. In the six test holes that were reviewed, four of the
test holes had indications of a high seasonal water table (#1-4) .
In all of the test holes there indications of fill. State
regulations do not allow drainfields to be placed in fill but leave
it up to the Sanitarian' s judgement as to whether the fill has
settled enough to support a drainfield. The last two test holes
05-6) have indications that they are in fill that is unusable.
While onsite I discussed the options with Bob Paysee of Pioneer
Digging. We had thought that test holes 5 & 6 were candidates for
a curtain drain. The presence of the patches of hardpan with
mottling has eliminated this possibility.
There is a possibility that test holes 2 & 3 might be usable. If
they were curtain drained and underwent Winter Observations a
determination could be made as to the effectiveness of the curtain
drain and thus the soil for a drainfield.
If you have any questions please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
