Dear Ms. 'Miller:
We have received your request for review of the above proposal and offer
the following comments:
The location of the proposed access shown on the submittal is
acceptable to the Department provided that the access is accurately
depicted on the plan and will be the only access to the State highway
system. Road Approach Permit No. M88-170 is currently in process for
the proposed approach.
The Department shall require that the proponent install the 12 inch
culvert further away from the edge of pavement than shown on the
plan. This requirement will be noted on the road approach permit as a
Special Provision. Existing surface water runoff from the State
highway right-of-way must not be impeded by development of the
proposal.
The Department will not be responsible for noise attenuation if the
subject property experiences noise levels in excess of the maximum
allowed for the proposed land use.
Advertising signs visible from an adjacent State highway must comply
with the State Scenic Vistas Act of 1971, which is administered by the
Department. For information regarding the signing regulations,
contact the District 3 Traffic Operations office at 753-7221.
Thank you for the opportunity to review the proposal. If there are any
questions regarding our comments, please contact Pete Lorenzo at 753-1901.
