Dear Mr. Johnson:
We have received and reviewed the above proposal and have the following comments:
1. Please provide a scale,north arrow,and labels indicating the location of SR 3,the railroad crossing,
and the state right-of-way boundary for each drawings submitted. A copy of the right-of-way plan for
this area is included for your reference.
2. Please provide three cross sections of the proposed fill, (see locations indicated in pink highlighter on
the attached drawing). The cross sections should show the original ground line,the edge of the
existing highway embankment,the final depth of the proposed fill,the profile across the top of the
proposed fill,and how the proposed fill and the existing embankment meet. In addition, cross section
B-B'should show the full width of SR 3,the existing 18"culvert,the existing flow line of that culvert,
a profile and flow line of the proposed 18" and 24"pipes,location of the proposed man holes,and
what happens to the water at the out flow.
3. Please complete the enclosed permit application form and return it to this office include copies of any
pertinent county permits.
4. Mason County's water quality concerns must be satisfied before a permit will be issued. The
Department requests the opportunity to review the revised drainage plans and supporting calculations
when they become available.
