Cascade Floral Bvergree (Permit#NUS98-0283) i� Dear Dave: This letter is regarding our discussion about the fire sprinkler system at Cascade Floral (Belfair)using the low air switch not as a trouble alarm but as the fire alarm. The system ; will be pressurized at approximately 40 psi of air. If a sprinkler head fuses because of a fire, the system will lose its air pressure and actuate the low air switch which will read as a fire alarm to the alarm monitoring company. The fire department will use the fire department connection to pressurize the sprinkler system with water. If for some electrical or mechanical problem the low air switch sends in an alarm but the system is still pressurized with air, the fire department would have to pressurize the fire department connection to at least 175 psi to trip the dry valve.
