Utilities&Waste Management—Emmett Dobey Commissioners Ring Erickson, Sheldon and Bloomfield were in attendance. • The Belfair Sewer project was discussed. Phase I is moving forward and options will be discussed in January. The ordinance that will be considered at the December 20 hearing was reviewed. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 8:30 A.M. Central Operations Commissioners Ring Erickson, Sheldon and Bloomfield were in attendance. • Diane Zoren requested the briefing to receive direction on the levy resolutions that will be placed on next week's agenda so they match up with the 2012 budget that adopted yesterday,December 5. Staff is preparing the Current Expense levy resolution with a 0%increase;the revenue projected in the budget does have a 1%increase, which would mean a revenue shortfall in 2012. Diane then asked about the diversion of the road levy. Public Works prepared the resolution with the traffic diversion level at$875,000. The 2012 traffic policing budget is at$1 million. Cmmr. Bloomfield explained his intent when adopting the 2012 budget was to budget the traffic diversion at$875,000,however he did not say a nunnber. Diane asked tine Prosecuting Attorney how to correct the record. Prosecutor Mike Dorcy stated he does not know and will need time to consider this. His impression fi•om attending the budget hearing was that the budget was adopted as presented. Cmmr. Sheldon asked if a motion could be made at today's Commission meeting to clarify the Board's intent to set the traffic diversion budget at$875,000. Prosecutor Dorcy responded that could be done if there is a lack of clarity on the record,however he has not reviewed the record. There was discussion of what was said during the budget adoption. Cmmr. Sheldon suggested preparing a motion to clarify what was adopted. Staff was directed to prepare the levy resolutions with 0%increase and the road diversion at $875,000 for the Board's consideration at the December 13 meeting. 10:30 A.M.
