*All buildings are required to have a clearly posted address. Address numbers are to be a
minimum of 6 inches high and of contrasting colors to the building background.
*Install Fire Extinguishers at least 4 inches off the ground/max of 5' off the ground. Extinguisher
must be securely mounted. Your fire inspector will assist you in the specific locations or they may
be identified on your approved permit plans. More than one fire extinguisher may be required.
*Mason County Fire Flow worksheet applies. The worksheet can be accessed from:

*All structures are required to provide adequate Fire Department Access. This is accomplished by
a 20' wide road/driveway extending to within 150' of all parts of the structure. A Fire Department
access road is an all weather surface. All gates which restrict fire department access will be
required to equipped with some form of knox locking system. This may be a knox box, knox
padlock, opticom or a combination of the three. Fire Department Access roads in excess of 150'
require an approved turnaround. Approved turnround configurations are located in IFC Appendix
