Superseding Res. 12-87 Relating to Department of General Services RESOLUTION NO. 21-91 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 12-87. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners restructured the Mason County Health Department through adoption of the 1991 budget and Resolution No. 106-90, and WHEREAS, it was necessary for the Board of County Commissioners to include the Consolidated Sewer and Water and Landfill (solid waste) functions under the control of the Public Works Department as per Resolution No. 37-90, and WHEREAS, it was necessary for the Board of County Commissioners to include the Facilities (buildings and grounds) Maintenance function under the control of Central Services as per Resolution No. 7-86, and WHEREAS, it is practical for the receipting of monies and scheduling of Memorial Hall usage to be handled separately from Memorial Hall maintenance, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners formed a Fire Marshall program with the adoption of the 1991 budget, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that combining numerous functions under one Department provides for efficient service to the citizens of Mason County. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: The Department of General Services shall include the following functions: 1. General Administration 2. Parks and Recreation 3. Building 4. Planning 5. Convention Center 6. Fair 7. Fire Marshall 8. Memorial Hall - (Receipting of monies and Scheduling) Pursuant to this resolution, the above functions are delegated,however nothing in this document shall be construed to restrict the Board of County Commissioners' authority to set policy for these functions of Mason County government.
