Bridge limits
WHEREAS, in conformance with procedures adapted by the Washington State
Association of Counties, and in the interest of safety, Mason County makes
periodic inspections of bridges on the County Road System; and,
WHEREAS, recent inspection and evaluation of the Mason County Bridges have been
completed through July, 1991, and reveal the bridges listed in the table below
having deteriorated to such an extent, as noted in the Bridge Inspection Report,
that they cannot be certified as safe for all legal highway loads.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the gross loads be limited as listed
below and that the lane limitations and speed limits be posted to control traffic
volume and impact loading on the bridges as listed, for a period of one (1) year
unless this Board shall, by appropriate action based upon proper certification,
modify or remove such restrictions.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall post the said bridges as
listed with the load, speed and/or lane limits as set forth herein. Violation
of these load limits shall constitute a misdemeanor in accordance with
RCW 26.75.270.
