Nos. 2-93 and 76-93 for Boundaries for Totten-Little Skookum Clean Water Distric - ORDINANCE 104-93 AN ORDINANCE REPLACING RESOLUTION NO. 2-93 AND 76-93 TO FORM AND ESTABLISH THE BOUNDARIES FOR THE TOTTEN/LITTLE SKOOKUM CLEAN WATER DISTRICT VVHEREAG, The Board of Mason County Commissioners has determined the formation of clean water district must be done bv ordinance rather than bv resolution, AND; WHEREAS, RCW 90.72 gives the county the authority to establish "Shellfish Protection Districts"to address nonpoint pollution sources within its shellfish producing watersheds, AND; WHEREAS, the Totten/Little 8kookunnWatershed Management Committee did nuoomnnnand that Mason County form a special purpose district, which they refer to as a"Watershed Protection District" in the Totten/Little Skookunn Watershed Action P|on, adopted in December 1AA1. AND; WHEREAS, the Totten/Little Skookum Watershed Implementation Council has submitted a letter to the Board of Mason County Commissioners supporting the formation of Clean Water Diotdct, AND; WHEREAS, the intent and purpose ofRCWQU.72 Shellfish Protection Districts meets the intent and purpose of the Totten/Little Skookum Watershed Management Committee's"Watershed Protection District", AND;. WHEREAS, the Totten/Little Gkookunm Watershed ioa majorshellfish producing watershed, AND; VVHEREAG, nonpoint pollution sources including failing on-site sewage aya1enna and agricultural runoff threaten the public safety of shellfish harvesting vvbh|n the watershed, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Mason County establishes the Totten/Little Skookum Clean Water District as authorized under RCVV 90.72 and the boundaries of the district are to include: VVnot VViUanoet Meridian those parts of sections 27. 33. and 34. ofR2VV. T2ON. that include Hope Island, AND; sections 28. 31. 32. and the G.E. 1/4of section 29. ofR2VV. T2U0. AND; the N 1/2 of sections 5 and O. of R2VV. T19N. AND; the G 1/2 of sections 35 and 36. of R3VV. T20N. AND; Sections through 5. 7 through 11. 14 through 22. the N.VV. 1/4of sections 28 and 28. and sections 28 through 32. ofR3VV. T19N.
