Designating Peninsula Development Association for the Development of Title IX Economic Developm RESOLUTION NO. 95- A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING the Peninsula Development Association as the County's representative for the development of a Title IX economic development strategy. WHEREAS, the Peninsula Development Association (hereinafter "PDA") is the federally recognized Economic Development District formed by Clallam and Jefferson counties to promote the economic development of the North Olympic Peninsula; and WHEREAS, the PDA is submitting an application in consultation with the Economic Development Council of Mason County to the Federal Development Administration to prepare an economic development strategy under Title IX Sudden and Severe Economic Dislocation authorization; and, WHEREAS, the strategy will analyze the development of a Pacific Northwest Wood Manufacturing Technology Center to promote value added wood products development and technology to benefit industry in Clallam, Jefferson, Mason and Grays Harbor counties located on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; that the Mason County Board of Commissioners designates the PDA as the County's representative for the development of a Title IX economic development strategy for this particular project; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mason County Board of Commissioners supports the development of this strategy and will cooperate with the PDA in the completion of the project.
