ORDINANCE NO. 7-93
IN THE MATTER OF:
AN ORDINANCE TO PROMOTE THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES IN MASON
COUNTY BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
THROUGH COLLECTION OF FEES RELATED TO SOLID WASTE ENFORCEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Division of Environmental Health provides a variety of public
health services related to solid waste enforcement, including but not limited
to the issuance of permits, the evaluation of environmental monitoring data,
the investigation of illegal waste disposal activities, and
WHEREAS, many of the solid waste enforcement activities are mandated by state
law, and
WHEREAS, all solid waste enforcement activities have been determined by the
Mason County Board of Health to be beneficial to the residents of Mason
County, and
WHEREAS, the provision of solid waste enforcement activities requires the
collection of fees to compliment other sources of revenue, and
WHEREAS, the fees established herein are necessary in order to maintain the
present level of service offered by the Division of Environmental Health, and
WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Health recommended adoption of the fees
established herein, and
WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on De-
cember 22, 1992 that was continued to January 5, 1993, for the purpose of
taking public testimony and to deliberate on action to be taken concerning
the fees established herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED, that the Mason County Board of Commis-
sioners hereby adopts the fees established herein.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effective this date.
