A RESOLUTION relating to the intention of the Board of Mason County
Commissioners to condemn certain property within Mason County for public use.
WHEREAS, the property described below is necessary in order to provide
sufficient land for the relocation of Mason County Road No. 90100, Shelton-
Matlock-Brady Road and the Ever's Bridge; and
WHEREAS, the use of the land in question is a public use; and
and WHEREAS, the property to be acquired is necessary to said public use;
WHEREAS, the County has been unable to make contact with one of the
property owners to clear title of that certain parcel described below with
respect to the purchase thereof; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 8.08 RCW, Mason County has the authority to
condemn property within the County for public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MASON COUNTY that it is necessary for county purposes to acquire a portion of
the following described premises:
All that portion of the Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of
Section 5, Township 19 North, Range 6 West, W.M. , in Mason County,
Washington, which lies East of the County Road and West of the Satsop
River.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, finding
that it is unable to contact one owner for the purchase of the property
described herein, hereby requests the Prosecuting Attorney of Mason County to
petition the Superior Court pursuant to Chapter 8.08 RCW for the acquisition
of such property by means of a condemnation action.
