Updating the 1991 Capital Improvement Program Adopted by Res. 40-91 RESOLUTION NO. 9_f5' IN THE MATTER OF: Approving an updated Capital Improvement Program (CIP)for the previously adopted resolution number 40-91 Parks,Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan for Mason County. A resolution updating the 1991 Capital Improvement Program of the current Mason County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan for Mason County residents; and WHEREAS, the purpose of this Capital Improvement Program is to guide Mason County in its commitment to provide a diverse,multi-faceted system of parks and recreation areas; and WHEREAS,the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan and the updated Capital Improvement Program more adequately address the prioritized needs for parks and recreation areas; and WHEREAS,the Mason County Board of Commissioners recognizes that parks and recreation areas are necessary for the well being of the community; and WHEREAS,the Mason County Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan provides the necessary guidelines for the provisions of parks and recreation areas; and WHEREAS, technical data, inventories and analysis were done to determine the condition of existing parks and recreation areas; and WHEREAS, the Mason County Department of General Services has reviewed and endorsed the Capital Improvement Program and­hasrecommended approval of the plan; NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners hereby update the Capital.Improvement Program of the Mason County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan as follows: The Plan is updated and shall be in full force, and effective this date. Changes in cost estimates do not require an update of the CIP. When you submit a CIP to IAC, please indicate whether the CIP supersedes all previous documents or merely indicates updates to a previously submitted CIP. All CIPs must be adopted by the administering body of the agency (council, commissioners, etc.). Indicate the resolution number and date of adoption on Form #062. If adoption is by a motion at an official meeting of the administering body, leave the "Resolution #" blank. 1) Prioritize projects in order of their importance. If your agency prepares one CIP for all departments, list only those projects dealing with parks, recreation and open space. Do not include police, sewers, streets, etc. Project your CIP for the next six years. 2) List projects as "park/facility name - capital project." For example: Anytown Park - Boat Ramp Renovation. 3) List all fund sources that apply. List sources as: L - Local Funds B - General Obligation Bonds D - Donation R - Revenue Bonds M- Matching Grant O - Other Bonds U - Unknown 4) Indicate if the project is an acquisition "A", development "D", or renovation "R". If the project involves acquisition and development, or renovation and development, list the cost for each separately. If a renovation project is considered unsafe for public use in its present condition and has been closed, or will be closed unless renovation is accomplished soon, put an asterisk after 5) Refer to the list on the previous page and be specific as to type of facility. List all types that apply, with the primary type listed first. For example on a trail used primarily by horses but open to pedestrians and bicycles, list °EQ, TB, TP" 6) Costs are estimates only and are not binding for future grant applications.
