A. INTENT TO PARTICIPATE
RESOLUTION NO: 7- V
WHEREAS, Mason County, has participated in a wide variety of
Washington State grant funded projects from the Department of
Social and Health Services, Division of Juvenile
Rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the projects being funded by these state grant monies
have proven to be very effective for the Mason County Juvenile
Probation Services Department in providing special supportive
programs needed to supplement basic juvenile services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners for Mason County, Washington, do hereby wish to
express Mason County's intent to maintain and/or establish the
following state grant funded programs for the 1995-1997
biennium: Intensive Supervision, Special Sex Offender
Disposition Alternative (SSODA), Commitment Alternatives, and
such other programs/projects that may be added or amended
during the 1995-1997 biennium.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mason County designates Harris H.
Haertel, Administrator, Mason County Probation Services, to
coordinate planning, oversight, and implementation of funds
appropriated to deliver services to juvenile offenders in
Mason County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Intensive Supervision, Special
Sex Offender Alternative (SSODA), and Commitment Alternatives
Projects are either a continued maintenance of effort in
Department of Social and Health Services funded programming or
new programs not currently available. This application does
not request funds for programs that are historically and/or
traditionally funded by Mason County.
