AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 136-06,
FAIRGROUNDS RENTAL FEES AND VENDOR FEES
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners adopted Resolution #136-06 December 27, 2006 to
establish rental fees at the Mason County Fairgrounds; and.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the resolution to increase the vendor booth space fees during the fair; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners held a public hearing on December 18, 2007; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners amends Resolution No.
136-06 and establishes the Mason County Fairgrounds Rental Fee Schedule and the Mason County Fair admissions
fee and vendor fee schedule as outlined below effective January 1, 2008 The following flat fees in the rental fee
schedule include state and local sales tax.

RENTAL OF ENTIRE GROUNDS
The definition of "Entire Grounds" is for all buildings and/or space designated for an event to be held, excluding the
camping area. All camp spaces, dry and with hook-ups, are rented separately.
Renter shall pay for the cost of utilities from the time the renter starts set-up until the day after the event ends or
removal of garbage from the grounds is completed. The renter will be charged for any cleanup required to be
completed by the Convention Center/Fairgrounds staff at the rate of $40.00 per hour, if clean-up and
maintenance is not completed as stated within the terms of the Clean-up and Maintenance Agreement.

CAMPING FEES
Mason County Fairgrounds staff will collect all camping fees. Organizations renting the entire fairgrounds have the
option of charging an increased amount to the members of their party. The Fairgrounds camping fee and taxes shall
be deducted from the amount collected and any remaining revenue shall be retained by the organization
Camping Fees with water & electricity

$13.85 + tax = $15.00
Campers may stay for a maximum of two -weeks at a time. The Facilities & Grounds Director must approve any
stay longer than two -weeks. Additional vehicles at a campsite must be parked in the main parking lot and will be
charged an additional $5.00 per day.
Group Camping Clubs & Organizations may use a building without an additional fee as a clubhouse. The building
that will be offered will be appropriate for the size of the club.
TICKET & EVENT ADMISSIONS FEE
Events charging gate and/or parking admission fees will be required to pay Mason County $1.00 for every ticket
sold, per day, per event. Mason County may, at their discretion, provide staff at the gates and ticket booths.
VENDOR & CONCESSIONAIRES BOOTH RENTAL
In the event that ANY renter shall sub -lease contract or provide pre -rented space to vendor(s) and/or
concessionaire(s) during their stated rental dates, events, etc. a flat fee of $30 per day or $50 per event will be
assessed for any and all said vendors. If the entire Fair grounds are rented there is no vendor fees charged All
vendors and/or concessionaires will be required to provide proper documentation regarding all/any permits for
insurance, health, taxation, and any other permits required for operation of said concession/vendor booth.

Vendor Space of abnormal size or not providing comparable conditions to standard locations will be available only
by prior approval of the Fair staff and may be assessed a fee of $10 per foot or a total $100, whichever is greater.

VENDORS QUALIFYING FOR SPACE AT NO CHARGE
Organizations businesses, or a professional services contracted to act as a sponsor or perform negotiated trade is at
the discretion of the Fair staff All other vendors are subject to full rates. There will be no discounts given to non-
profit vendors.

Mason County recognizes the educational and enrichment programs and events provided by organizations in our
community. We also recognize that these would not be possible with the structure and giving of charitable
organizations and the dedication of hard working volunteers. Considering this the following Groups may be eligible
for reduced rental fees of the fairgrounds facilities, therefore the fee schedule as written may be modified according
to the following categories:
CLASS 11:
All Mason County and other governmental entities will pay rental rates as stated above under "Convention Center
Facilities Rental Prices Per Day". "Deposit requirements will be waived. All facility policies must be adhered to and
other governmental entities must provide insurance. Forty - dollars ($40) per hour will be charged for any clean-up
not completed on day of use. "Clean-up" is defines in the facilities rental contract.
CC�ASS
Organized or charitable groups providing enrichment or educational services for youth will be assessed a flat fee of
$8.00 per hour for the use of all fairgrounds facilities including the 4-H horse arena. The facility must be used for
the enrichment and education of youth and may not generate revenue for event organizers. All facility policies must
adhere to and groups must satisfy all insurance requirements. Deposit requirements will be waived. Space will be
provided on a first come first served basis and a forty -dollar (S40) per hour maintenance fee will be assessed in the
event all post event clean-up and stated policies as defined in tl?e Facility Rental Contract, are not met to
satisfaction.
CLASS HI:
Groups organized for the purpose of ongoing support of the Mason County Fair and Rodeo and/or the upkeep of the
Mason County Fairgrounds will be assessed 50% of the rental rates set forth in this Fee Schedule. Additionally, the
requirement for a pre -paid deposit will be waived. All facility policies must be adhered to and groups must satisfy
all insurance requirements. Space will be provided on a first come first served basis and a forty -dollar (S40) per
hour maintenance fee will be assessed in the event all post event clean-up and stated policies as defined in the
Facihty Rental Contract, are not met to satisfaction.
