2012 BUDGET
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION / BUDGET TRANSFER -NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS, by reason of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the time of
making the budget for the year 2012, it is necessary to make provision for supplemental
appropriations/budget transfers to the budget as required by RCW 36.40.100, and RCW
36.40.195 for the following:
Clerk - $15,000 supplemental appropriation in revenues from Auditor's O&M transfer.
District Court - $26,300 budget transfer for juror and court expenses.
P robation - $5,450 budget transfer for re-classification approved by BOCC 8/21/12.
S heriff/Jail - $189,000 budget transfer for jail overtime and medical expenses.
Courthouse Security - $11,000 budget transfer for unanticipated overtime expense.
Island Lake Mgmt Dist #1 - $2,000 supplemental appropriation for expenditures.
REET 1/Capital Improvement Fund - $115,000 budget transfer for modular jail cells.
Belfair WW Fund - $3,761,000 supplemental appropriation due to unanticipated
Revenue/beginning fund balance and expenditures.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Board of Mason County Commissioners:
That the 13th day of November, 2012 at the hour of 9:30 a.m. in the Mason County
Commissioners Chambers in Courthouse Building I, 411 North Fifth Street, Shelton,
Washington, is hereby fixed as the time and place for a public hearing upon the matter of
supplemental appropriations/budget transfers to the 2012 Budget as follows:
• Clerk - $15,000 supplemental appropriation.
• District Court - $26,300 from ending fund budgeted balance.
• Probation - $5,450 budget transfer from ending fund budgeted balance.
• Sheriff/Jail - $189,000 budget transfer from ending fund budgeted balance.
• Courthouse Security - $11,000 budget transfer from ending fund balance.
• Island Lake Mgmt Dist #1 Fund - $2,000 supplemental appropriation.
• REET 1/Capital Improvement Fund - $115,000 ending fund budget transfer.
• Belfair WW Fund - $3,761,000 supplemental appropriation.
The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to cause
notice of such hearing to be published as provided by law.
