June 10, 2021
The special meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. virtually via the Zoom platform by
Chairperson Ickes.
Attendance: Susan Ickes, Chair and Vice-Chair; Mark Nault, Commissioner
Others: Tami Beyer, Sheryl Hilt, and Becky Rogers.
Business:
1. Approval of revisions to the Evidence Technician position description.
Cmmr. Nault/Ickes moved and seconded to approve the revisions to the Evidence Technician
position description. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Approval of Job Posting for an Evidence Technician position.
Cmmr. Nault/Ickes moved and seconded to approve a job posting for an Evidence Technician
position. Motion carried unanimously.
3. Approval of revisions to the Support Specialist I, II, and III position descriptions.
Cmmr. Nault/Ickes moved and seconded to approve the revisions to the Support Specialist I,II and
III position description. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Approval to schedule a special meeting and set a public hearing on Thursday,
July 1, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. to consider approval of revisions to the Civil Service
Rules relating to the Promotion in Place for Support Specialist positions.
Cmmr. Nault/Ickes moved and seconded to schedule a special meeting and set a public hearing on
Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 5 pm. Motion carried unanimously.
5. Approval to cancel the June 17, 2021 regular Civil Service meeting.
Cmmr. Nault/Ickes moved and seconded to cancel the June 17, 2021 regular Civil Service
Commission meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

1. Approval of revisions to the Evidence Technician position description.
The proposed revisions included amendments to the education requirements to
remove the AA degree requirement and list AA degree in criminal justice is
preferable, but not mandatory.
Cmmr. NaultlICkes moved and seconded to approve the revisions to the Evidence Technician position
description. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Adjourn — The meeting adjourned at 4:03 p.m.

The special meeting was called to order at 5:01 p.m. by Chairperson Ickes.
Attendance: Susan Ickes, Chair, William Kendrick, Vice-Chair, and Mark Nault,
Commissioner (Joined the meeting briefly at 5:04 p.m.)
Others: Tami Beyer, Sheryl Hilt, and Becky Rogers.
1. Public Hearing - Approval of revisions to the following Civil Service Rules:
Section 2. Definitions; and
Section 6.10 Promotional Examinations; and
Section 6.14 Clerical Promotions (Promotions in Place)
Chair Ickes opened the public hearing. The public hearing notice was read including
the proposed revisions to the Civil Service Rules. No public was in attendance. No
comments were received.
Cmmr. Kendrick/Ickes moved and seconded to approve the revisions to the Civil Service Rules Section
2. Section 6.10 and Section 6.14 relating to promotions in place. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Adjourn — The meeting adjourned at 5:05 p.m.
