2022/08/25 - Monkeypox Vaccine NEWS RELEASE August 25, 2022 MASON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS’ OFFICE 411 N 5TH ST, BLDG 1, SHELTON, WA 98584 TO: KMAS, KRXY, SHELTON-MASON COUNTY JOURNAL, THE OLYMPIAN, SHELTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, NORTH MASON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, CITY OF SHELTON, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, THE SUN RE: Monkeypox Vaccine Monkeypox Vaccine Beginning Monday, August 29, 2022, the monkeypox vaccine JYNNEOS will be available at Mason County Public Health. Due to the limited supply that Washington state has received, this vaccine is currently being prioritized for people who have been exposed or who are at high risk for being exposed to monkeypox. If you believe you have had recent close contact with someone who was diagnosed with monkeypox and need a vaccine, please call Public Health at 360-427-9670 Ext 274. Testing If you have symptoms of monkeypox or have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with monkeypox in the last 21 days, contact your provider at Mason Health to see if you should be tested.
